Guest Emily Flake is a New Yorker cartoonist and humorist who just released a new guidebook called That Was Awkward: The Art and Etiquette of the Awkward Hug. We talk about such topics as how she got her start, her first big break, how she comes up with ideas for her illustrations and comics, what doing standup has taught her, and of course, our all-time most awkward hugs including the "Oh No, You Didn't Want That" Hug and the "Hug That's Just a Little Too Long. Plus, Emily pulls the curtain back on how the New Yorker chooses their cartoons and how not to win the caption contest.
