David Grann Uncovers a Gripping True Story of Shipwreck and Mutiny

Guest David Grann is one of the most popular authors working today. He has a new book out called The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder, which tells the fascinating true story of an 18th-century British warship that wrecked on a desolate island off the coast of Patagonia. The survivors sailed thousands of miles to safety and later faced mutiny charges. Grann spent five years researching and writing this book, a task that required him to pour over hundreds of log books kept by the seaman and traverse the same treacherous seas they did.
